Re: Electrics leakage/drain - 1937 TEN P2 Can anyone help?
Re: negative or positive earth. I've looked in more detail at my copy of : Rover 1934-47 P2 Models WORKSHOP MANUAL And on page T22 -1934 10 & 12 HP It shows it as Negative earth Then on T26 -1936 10HP It stipulates Positive earth and says at the foot " chassis No 602,123 onwards . So it seems my 193...

The persistant drain on the battery has been found *- it's the wiper motor - see my subsequent new post.

Re: How remove windscreen motor p2 h10 1937
And should it have power going to it even with ignition off?
Could it be the gearbox/parking mechanism that's stuck!

How remove windscreen motor p2 h10 1937
We have found the battery leakage !! It's the windscreen motor which has power going to it even when ignition is off! It doesn't work/operate, but it warm to the touch. Disconnecting the wires solves the battery leakage. But how to remove it for inspection/repair. There doesn't seem to be much info....

Re: How remove fuel sender - bolts are stuck
Thanks, I'm at the car next week and will try again. re your: " can be drilled with a tapping drill for 5/32" Whitworth, the same as original Meccano. Long screws in the part no 111 range (there are a few different lengths) can make a substitute for the originals. " Now that's real info that can't b...

The car is NEGATIVE earth. And the workshop manual seems to say it was built like that in 1937.
Is that right? (just checking)

Electrics leakage/drain - 1937 TEN P2 Can anyone help?
We now have the petrol pump repaired, etc. and the engine running again - Hooray! But it's still not driveable anywhere as there seems to be a drain on the battery when the ignition is OFF. And even with the engine runnning, it still doesn't seem to be providing a positive charge to the battery. Eve...

How remove fuel sender - bolts are stuck
How to remove the fuel sender (prior to repair)? I've flooded them with WD40 for a week, and managed to slowly unscrew 3 of them, but the other 3 are refusing to turn! I'm using a flat screwdriver blade, of the right thickness, but it's only 80% of the width of the round nut (as I don't have anythin...

Re: Sump removal
Was a conclution reached as to:
"Is it possible to remove the sump without removing the filter cover and filter first? It'll be easier to get the cover off with the sump on the bench"?
I'm looking to doing the same
