Re: Rewire
On testing wiring I am using a computer power supply and not the battery. It is short circuit protected and the wires will never smoke.

Re: p2 steering box
It is very important to keep the steering column undistorted, both lower and upper bearings concentric on the same line. Unless this condition is satisfied, the stirring will be hard. See here how to do it: https://lulis.org/2018/04/30/14128/ This is often ignored, and is a main source of hard steer...

Re: Recent travels
I replaced the dynamo with a dynamator. leaving the control box as conction box. This practically eliminates charging issues. See here:

Re: Help Bodyshop needed
Hi Rob, It is original, and the metal is Aluminum, Which was corroded. Tino has both the equipment and the skills to deal with wood and metals. He replaced the corroded metal and welded it, and adjusted the doors to fit their space and the body lines, verifying that the sound of shunting them is nic...

Re: Fuel system for P2 Tourer
It seems to be a low pressure sucking pump. If so, it is mounted at the wrong place. It should be mounted in the engine bay. More or less at carburetor height. And 30 c"m above the exhaust is a hot place.

Re: Fuel system for P2 Tourer
I can see the exhaust pipe just under the pump, heating it up. Not a good position to choose, both from safety and fuel temp considerations. Also, just specifying "Hardy" is not enough. High pressure? Low pressure? either are not the correct one by position/pressure. Finally, rubber pipes are better...

Re: Selecting reverse is difficult
Even simpler than that: release nut 9 and turn it down few mm. Do the same with knob 8, and fasten. Now push of rod 11 will bring the disk 12 further down and problem solved.

Re: Selecting reverse is difficult
All you have to do is turn nut 13 few turns so that disk 12 can reach a little lower.(remove thhe split pin first)

Re: Timing, points gap etc.
A little inexpensive device that would help you measure accurately the inductance of your coil and the capacitance of your condenser and determine their condition.
