I used a dishwasher tablet, left in the radiator overnight and it was amazing the amount of crud that came out, it is worth a try before having the radiator re-cored

I cleaned my radiator with a washing up tablet. it was put in the radiator with some water and left overnight and the amount of crud that came out was unbelievable. Coca cola is another suggestion which appears to work very well.

P2 dynamo overcharging
My Rover 16HP P2 seems to be OK for about 20 miles and then the ammeter goes to full charge. If I freewheel then the ammeter shows a slight discharge, but as soon as I accelerate it goes back to full charge.It does not blow any bulbs and it does not appear to have damaged the battery in any way. The Su sloper carb is a bottom entry fuel supply. I have checked the float and this appears OK.

SU carb flooding
I have a 1923 Rover Clegg 12HP Tourer which has a problem with the carburetor flooding and would be grateful for any advice on how to set up the carb which is an SU sloper unit

Carburretor flooding on SU sloper carb
I have a 1923 Rover Clegg 12hp Tourer which floods petrol from the carburretor body and would like any information as to what may be wrong and how to set up such a carb.
