Re: Cross Ply tyres Vs Radial Ply tyres

Hello Michael, Indeed there are radial tires available for 17” wheels from Coker tire Excelsior Stahl Sport Radial. I can tell you that your car will be transformed into a much better driving vehicle. Those who say that crossplys are better have not driven on them. I have radials on my Cyclops and P...

Re: P3 Tyres

Hello Adrian, I put radials on my P3 about 3 years ago and it changed the car so profoundly I have put radials on my P2s as well. Seriously all the purists would be changing if they could drive my P3 for a mile or two. Prior to the change I rebuilt the entire front end and purchased crossplies and s...

Re: 1926 Rover 9/20 2 seater parts wanted

Hi John, Thank you for posting the pictures. Here is a link to some pictures taken in your part of the world before I imported the car to the USA. It does show the linkage. I will get more pictures this coming weekend when I can get the car out. http://www.roveramerica.com/images/r9_1926/index.html ...

Re: 1926 Rover 9/20 2 seater parts wanted

Hello JP, Do you have the pancake style rotor in the distributor? If so I found on my 9/20 that the shaft going into the Bakelite part had come loose and the shaft was spinning and slipping. I would get spark but the timing was constantly changing as the rotor was rotated. It took awhile to figure i...

Air cooled Rover 8

Hello all, I came across a picture of an air cooled 8 coupe on an obscure Facebook forum in Africa an acquaintance referred me to. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153955477604840&set=gm.1155102457847864&type=3&relevant_count=1&_rdr Does the club have DL 3233 in the registry? If so is the car...

Re: Mystery vintage / veteran Rover badge

Hello Mike and All,

I have the same badge fitted to the valve cover on my Australian imported Rover 9. I was told that some 9s were built in Australia and that mine may have been one of those.

I will try and post a picture before I leave for the UK for the national!

Re: Radials on a P2

Hello,

I can attest that radials will transform the ride. I also agree it is nearly impossible to get the suspension setup correctly that the car will ride as well as radials will make it, I know I tried. So my P2 and P3 as well as my P4 all have radials

All the best
