Re: 1938 "10" Seats

Thanks for your comments Vince. I'll certainly be having a crack at salvaging the old seats if at all possible; like you, I'd want to retain the old ones if I can. I think I'll be able to salvage and reuse the door cards, probably with new boards though, as the present ones have de-laminated However...

1938 "10" Seats

Although a long way off, I will need to rebuild all of the seats in my '38 "10", and I'd like to start gathering any useful info. I don't think I have anything which will be reusable unfortunately, though I'll obviously keep everything for patterns. Questions are: Is it likely that second hand good ...

Asbestos in doors -advice needed

In the near future I will be starting the restoration of my 1938 "10" All of the door bottoms will need repair, some more than others. My main concern is how to safely deal with the asbestos sound deadening which was sprayed onto the inside of the doors (it's still there unfortunately) We'll need to...

Re: New member June 2015

Thanks for the welcome, Derrick, looking forwards to getting car home and making a start.
I have a couple of other oldies which are taking up some time at present, but it keeps us busy!
What type do you have?
Regards
Phil

New member June 2015

Hi, I am a new member, recently purchased a 1938 "10" saloon. It is a major restoration project, but I believe the engine does run, but the body and especially the interior require major work. I do not have the car home yet, but when I do, I will post more details. I am on the Shropshire Wales borde...
