Re: Rover Salesman’s Manuals
Just following up, as I prepare an article on the Land Rover salesman's manuals for the club magazine. I managed to get copies of the 1937 and '39 manuals when they were still available, but were there others that complemented the multi-page brochures available in the Thirties, or earlier? Thank you...

Re: the standard grade at petrol stations from 2021
A fact of life over in North America. Look for neoprene or synthetic seals. And, when looking at the entire lifecycle of this for CO2 affects, you have to make the CO2. Generally here it comes from corn (maize). Add in the CO2 of growing the corn to make the ethanol to go into the petrol, along with...

Re: Thermostat for P3
> The first time I did this it leaked from the seal between the thermostat housing and the water pump. > The seal does not seem to be sufficiently compressed to make a water tight joint. Given this is the same issue/motor that 1.6 and 2l Land-Rovers have, this rubber o-ring and copper insert are wid...

Re: Rover Salesman’s Manuals
A question and a correction. First, while looking through the sales brochures, they talk about an "automatic chassis lubrication" system. What is it actually doing? OK, editting this - https://www.rover-forum.thersr.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4812#p11242 Second. a quick note, the link referenced abo...

Re: North American Dollar Area (NADA) references
Steve, These are excellent references, and I have added them into my spreadsheet (which actually tracks every reference within a parts manual or owners manual) I am hoping that more NADA references appear further back in time. Right now, the earliest "NADA" reference I have in a Rover publication is...

North American Sales of Rover cars
A different tangent to add to the others on the go. As many would know, after initially looking at expanding into the North American market in 1948/49, Rover turned sales of their cars and Land-Rovers over to Rootes Motors (North America), an arrangement that was to last until 1958, when Rover direc...

Re: North American Dollar Area (NADA) references
Email is dkenner@gmail.com Slowly building a spreadsheet. The first reference to North America Dollar Area (NADA) in a Land-Rover publication is in TP/317/C in May 1963. This is an Owners Manual. Before this, I have found "North American Vehicles" and "America. Dollar Area" in a couple other publica...

Re: North American Dollar Area (NADA) references
What are the publication numbers of the Lucas catalogues?
I am curious is anyone has any Rover car parts catalogues and could take a look sometime. This would appear primarily with lights and such.
Thank you,
Dixon

Re: North American Dollar Area (NADA) references
I would also add, if anyone knows of any links to Lucas parts catalogues for the cars in the 1950's, I'd be delighted to check those out. The NADA reference occurs in there, while for other marques, they generally use USA, Canada, or North America. NADA seems to pertain to Rover.
Thank you,
