You are probably right Steve, but seems odd somehow. Mine is all re-assembled again, just waiting for the radiator to be recored.

Gearbox mounting
Is there anyone out there who can give me a clue on what is involved in changing the gearbox mount on my P3, the big half round one. Is there also a rubber pad on top, between it and the gearbox

I'm edthecat. I bought my P3 75 sports 3 months ago from near London, over the phone. Had a full body and interior restoration in 1996, but didn't do a lot to the engine, and nothing to the rubber bits underneath. I bought it with low compression on no1, when in fact it had none with a holed piston....

My car has done nearly 56000 miles, with I believe no major overhaul. The sluggish performance could be ignition based, so can anyone please tell me where I can buy an electronic ignition kit, which will eliminate poor points performance

I bought my car, 75 sports, with no compression on no1, made the bold assumption it was a burnt exhaust valve. On getting the head off, I was pleased to find it was a holed valve.
