Ignition Timing

Hi everyone I want to check my ignition timing on my P3 75 using a strobe light. I have found TDC on the flywheel & it's my understanding I set to the FA mark. Assuming this is correct my problem is I can't see a marker on the casing! Can anyone help please. There should be a pic attached. Also the ...

Job done. Thanks for the advice. After some effort and without disconnecting any wiring I managed to ease the control tube upwards sufficiently to examine the underside of the horn mechanism. I was terrified of breaking the bakelite but by concentrating on the bottom of the tube everything was fine....

Horn Wiring

I have stupidly caused a dead short in my horn button (don't ask!) resulting in smoke and some obvious burning of insulation. New battery for my 75 P3

Can anybody help me with the specification for a modern battery that would suite P3 75? I'm thinking lead/acid not space age.
