P2 engine numbers are the same as the chassis number, if your has had another engine then obviously they will differ, but read the replacement engine number as if it were the chassis number.

There were 2 P3 60s, 1 a saloon and 1 sports saloon in York up till last month, the sallon has gone down south. So there 2 of the 3 sorned!

It fits in the space behind the instruments, you have to cut the felt away to reveal the hole and then it can be manouvered into place by pushing it up through the hole and then twisting it sideways. I found it easier to remove the mountings from the box and refit them once it was in the hole.

I have excelsior on my 16 for last 3 years, excellent tyres, I did fit new tubes as well. The previous Avons were really badly cracked after 5 years, not microcracking but big cracks, which is what made me change to excelsior.

There are woodscrews which you access from inside the boot and they go into the seat frame

They have a stonger spring in the dashpot than on the side draught ones.
