If you want to use the radio it's better taking it to a specialist who will remove the valve interior which by now the wires will be crusty and dangerous and have them fit digital/FM tuner to which you can have Bluetooth, MP3 etc. This will keep the original look to the exterior. I I had an FM board...

I though when you said it had a GB tag plate that the car still had its GB licence number. The chassis plate shows it is a 1949 Rover P3 car with the 6 cylinder 2.1 Litre, 75hp engine and is a four light (2 windows each side) Sport Saloon of which there were 2630 produced between 1948-1949 It should...

... I see you have a heat shield under the carburettor...I can only see one mounting bolt(?) does it rest om the manifold or what? From memory the heatshield isn't in direct contact but sits just above the manifold. It is held in place with the one single bolt and the 4 studs that hold the carburet...

Bulkhead is body coloured but not to a high glossy finish
