Re: 1939 14 Dipping Headlights
I had decided to sacrifice originality in sake of safety and installed halogen bulbs on both cars. Halogen gives almost three times the light of a regular bulb. Re: Engine removal via the manual
The floor panels of Rover 10 (39 - 47) are originally all steel. Apart of converting the bell housing cover ("lower firewall panel") to RHD, what the pictures show is all original.chasmac wrote: Did you make the metal floor sections ? Were they wood originally ?

Re: Engine removal via the manual
Remove the radiator and the hose connecting it to the water pump (including the tap). Take the front seats back as much as they go. Remove the carpets, gearbox cover, floor panels and pedals. Remove the lower firewall panel. Remove the strap that secures the gearbox to the chassis (needs to be done ...

Re: 1939 14 Horn Push and Dip Switch Wiring
At the bottom of the steering box you will see a loom coming out. Originally it was connected by "bullets" to the main loom. Disconnect and loosen the lock ( 1/4 nut). Now you can pull out the control tube for service. You may need to open the sunshine roof for that or make a similar manoeuvre since...

Re: Over heating P2
I have discussed this issue with a fellow Rover 16 (1946) owner and he said that there is no overheating of his engine. His engine had never been modified. Israel is a much hotter country than Britain so the question is what is different? And the answer is that local P2's are all (but one) post war ...
