Speed 20 project advert on the RSR site

What a great project that looks to be, although the photos are a bit limited!! I would have loved to take it on, but age, lack of space and a desire to stay married precludes me from putting my hat in the ring....perhaps the owner could get it featured in the Automobile, or other "lost, now found " ...

Re: 1947 Rover 12 Tourer

Thanks Luli, helpful pictures. Looking at my bulkhead there is a small oval plate (big enough for a couple of pipes. Which presumably could fit into a double grommet like on Minis or possibly there are two holes/ grommets) in the appropriate place....and another , smaller round one some distance fur...

Re: 1947 Rover 12 Tourer

Hi! Did you get anywhere with your heater pipes etc? I am thinking about putting one into my tourer and am trying to find the bulkhead holes where things might have once fitted! There is an outlet pipe in the cylinder head (rear) that has been plugged with a wood dowel/jubilee clip! So it may have h...

Re: Bijur bits David Moseley's advert in Freewheel

Thanks for that update. Without peering under the car I cannot be certain, but I am pretty sure I have the two meter vave set up. Whatever...I have plugged the holes with short Allen screws. The level of oil in the reservoir is going own reassuringly, but a job for the winter is to apply pressure to...

Re: Re-wiring

John, Having suffered from some "original Lucas smoke" (Apparently available in cans in the USA.....) from the dash I set about checking the wiring from the regulator to the dashboard. I discovered that where the loom went through the scuttle on the nearside there was evidence of damage. It did not ...

Re: Travels in a Tourer

Rob, That sounded like a good trip as well! It is amazing how far you can get on a well charged battery! Gets a bit nerve wracking as it gets darker and the hotel is still some distance to go! You get pretty adept at parking on slopes as well! It all goes to show that "goin furrin'" is really to be ...
