1934 Rover 12 ELECTRONIC IGNITION

Hello when fitting electronic ignition to a 1934 Rover 12,how is the distributor timing set.I seem to remember,that only the static timing can be set from the marks on the fly wheel

Instead of a cam and points that open a circuit you now have a magnet and a Hall-efect device that are doing the same. Therefor other than replacing one with the other you do not need to do anything.

Thanks ,that means to make sure the ignition timing is correct ,before fitting electronic ignition ? Len

Yes, and make sure you know where the magnet is.

I take it ,that on the collar which contains the manet it is only on one lobe,which can easily be detected
