Hi Guys, Please can anyone tell where to obtain repair kits for A C petrol pumps? Are the parts required the same for both T type and N type or are there different repair kits? Will either type fit our Rovers , in my case a 1938 Rover 12Hp which has a T type fitted at present. Thanks Trevor

Trvor,
You could try Rimmer Brothers ( see http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID007054), alternatively Speedy Spares (http://www.speedyspares.co.uk/) may be able to help.

Speedy Spares is near me, can I enquire on your behalf ? Due to fuel vaporisation problems its becoming common practice to fit an electric SU type fuel pump ( mine is from an MGB ) which overcomes this problem. Its still possible to maintain the original appearance of the original ac pump, by removing the internals of the pump and making a blanking plate ( best out of stainless steel with the ethanol problem ), the top portion of the pump then becomes an empty chamber through which the fuel flows to the carburettor. I have made a further modification to assist with the vapourisation problem by turning the ac fuel pump top anti-clockwise so that the input becomes the output and vice/versa, run a new section of pipe away from the exhaust manifold, to a position just behind the cooling fan. The new outlet position is facing forward which assists this.
The ideal position for the electric pump is under the rear seat, its favourite to get an electronic type so that there is no ' give away ' contact ' click '.
