I have an almost empty tool tray in my 12 tourer, has anyone got a picture of what should be there and any of the tools to sell.

Thanks for the picture, now need to find the correct tools. I have the adjustable, a couple of whitworth spanners and the "T" bar, but I don't know if they are original.

Gerry

Yes the P3 had a tool tray, not the same shape but most of the tools look like there the same or very similar

Do these tools ever come available to buy at any time, I would like a good original set.

There were 2 double open ended spanners with "Rover" embossed on one side on ebay last week, one went for £18 the other for £3.
I have 4 different spanners, 3 double and one single open ended but I think there may be more with different combinations for various trays.
My 1937 10 does not have a tray but the parts lists says that I should only have 3 spanners in total.
Before you go buying all of them I should find out from your model's parts list which ones you should have unless you pick them up cheaply.

Mark

Thank's Mark,
I keep looking but not too sure what I am looking for, I have not seen a picture of the 12 tourer tool tray.

The master parts catalog has a 12 h.p. tourer supplement. The following appers on it's first page:
"GENERAL EXPLANATION
The 1947 12 h.p. Tourer body is mounted on a standard 12 h.p. Saloon chassis, and the majority of the spare parts are therefore the same as those required for the Saloon model. This supplement details the few differences involved and also shows the parts required which are peculiar to the Tourer
pattern body.
All the items concerned are correlated to the text of the 1939-47 Master Spares List by quoting page and plate reference numbers of equivalent parts. They fall into three categories, as shown in the remarks column on each page :—
1. Additional. Part used on the Tourer model and not on the Saloon.
2. Replaces. The part number shown in the supplement for the Tourer takes the place of
that shown for the Saloon in the main list.
3. Not required. Part used on the Saloon model and not on the Tourer."
Since the tools section is not mentioned in the supplement I conclud that the tools are not different from other 39 - 47 cars tools. Here are the tools which are mentioned in that section:
