Air filter identification

Apart from 1940-47 6-cylinder cars and the 1935-38 14hp, all 1935-47 Rovers had an apparently similar air filer. However, there are actually five different ones.
01270 has the bypass connection to the bottom (on the others it is to the side) and fit 1935/6 cars
04923 has its bracket 3.5" from the mesh inlet end (i.e opposite end to the swan-neck) and fits the 6-cyl cars.
Of the other three, one is for the 37/8 10 & 12hp, another for the 39-46 10 & 12hp with SU carb, and the third for 46/7 10 & 12hp with Solex carb. But how does one identify them?
One has its bracket mounted by two bolts 5" from the inlet end.
One has its bracket mounted at an angle to the main body, by two bolts at different distances from the end.
I can only assume that the Solex one is physically similar to one of the above and is perhaps different internally?.
So my question is can some members with 10 & 12 hp cars please check the arrangement of the bracket on the underside of their filter so we can establish which is the correct filter to be sent abroad for a 1946 car. I'll be happy to provide photos of the different filters if my descriptions need explanations.
Thanks, Mike Evans
