I have been trying to rationalise my spares and I note that the spare 8" headlamp lenses - D811 or D611 part no 501598 - do not match the originals (39 DHC). Does anyone recognise these? If I do get round to replacing the original 8" lenses ( I currently have later smaller dipping conversions in place) I am unlikely to need spare lenses but if they are not correct anyway, someone else should use them. I believe the 811 was used on prewar Morris 8 & some Standards

And I hear from Mike Maher that 35 -37 Rover models also had this pattern so no good for my car. Thanks for the information though. I shall put these (there are 3) on Ebay in due course unless any members wishes to collar them first!
