I am about to replace another headlining in a Rover P2 saloon and know the stiles differ for models, years and shapes.
I wonder if anyone knows officially what colour headlining's Rover used.
I have always used light grey for blue seats & beige for all other interiors.

That's a good rule of thumb for union cloth headlining colours. Black and grey interiors are also matched with light grey cloth. In the case of green interiors, Rover used a light green headlining cloth which is still readily available today. The colour "beige" can also include "fawn", which in my experience can sometimes be noticeably darker, so be sure to ask for a sample before ordering if you are looking for a lighter effect inside your car.

Thanks for the info. the light beige seems to be the favourite choice for most older car makes
and done right usually looks good and brightens up the interior.
