Restoration of Rover 10, 1947

Post by luli » Tue Aug 27, 2019 12:31 pm

I have added today a table of content to ‘Rover 10, 1947, restoration’ in my site. This is a list of links to all the posts reporting on that project from start to finish. Each link includes a brief description of the post, so that you can focus on what you are looking for. The posts are written in hebrew but contain many pictures which speak for themselves, many have English captions. Often google translate makes reasonable job, sometimes just funny. It is a sticky post easy to find. I hope it will help readers to maintain and enjoy their cars. https://lulis.org/2019/08/27/rover-10-1 ... storation/

The RSR and all classic Rover enthusiasts have gained a great deal from Luli and his countless posts and energy for the marque. That this resource is available in digital form enables today's new enthusiasts who need an immediate answer to an internet question they pose now have a dictionary instantly available to them. Times change and so does our approach. Gone are the men (and women) who built these cars and although our RSR Classic Librarians possess enormous tomes of knowledge based on many of our experiences going back over 85/90 years it became fundamental some time ago that old Workshop manuals, service notes, parts list and hands-on knowledge had to be in the ether as opposed to lots of heavy books and prose. Superb!

This index is a wonderful resource Luli so thanks again for all your generosity with your years of work. And of course the gems of intimate knowledge in these pages apply not just to the Rover 10 but across most of the P2 models across many years

Many thanks to yourself, Luli. I am still working hard each Winter to restore the body on Lucy, my 1939 '10 (1940 Model Year) and although a good amount of the work is behind me, the detail on many of the steel bodywork fixtures is still elusive - long disappeared from the frame on my car!

It is only by having these sorts of resources, in the absence of being able to crawl over other 1939 onwards '10's with the steel construction at car shows, that makes it possible to bring other P2's back to life again. Your contributions are much appreciated.
