Does the 1947/48 !2hp engine have shell or white metal bearings?

Thank you Luli...I thought you might know! Has anyone put a full flow filter on to a 12hp engine? Many other engines with white metalled bearings have been modified....?

Trying to fit Triumph shell bearing in an engine without in line oil filter resulted in a catastrophe. See pictures.
