I have had to come to the decision to sell the Rover.I was told during the restoration that I had the big "C" and Im having to have monthly treatment. This along with my age I find it is a bit too hard work as compared to a modern classic .So thats what Ill have to buyI have spent a few thousand on the car getting it right inc £980 for steering box to be rebuilt and £800 for the rechroming. This is just to mention 2 items. Its hard to know what to ask for the car but I need to clear my self and but a modern classic Len

Dear digcot65
I have followed with great interest the details of your restoration on this forum and I am sad to see you having to sell it before you have had much time to enjoy it. The car looks excellent and you should be able to ask a premium price I would say, although I have no idea what that would be. Good luck with the sale and your big C. Do let us know what modern classic will be easier!
Rob

Len,

I would like to echo Rob’s comments and say how enjoyable it’s been following your restoration. The past year has been an odd one and your regular updates and enquiries have involved us considerably in your endeavours, giving us something positive to think about. As such, all the more sad that your health has brought you to the decision to sell the old Rover. However, I suspect, much of the fun for you is in revitalising a classic car, so we must hope you find a newer Rover as your next project allowing us to follow the rescue of another fine motor car. If not a Rover then good luck with whatever car you decide upon and, of course, with your journey to good health.

Tony.

I too have followed your resto-saga! youi have done a cracking job bringing the car back to life. As you may have seen I put a thermostat in & so far ...no more overheating (fingers crossed!)
I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer back in 2004, and am still here (ok without the prostate! Trust me - even that situation is better than the alternative!)
Very best wishes
David

Thanks Im about to order a thermostat .I dont really find the illness affects me too much, but the monthly injections have some unpleasant side affects, and I realise it isnt going to go away.So I need a car requiring less effort to drive.
