1934 Rover 12 Thermostat

Post by digcot65 » Wed Jul 14, 2021 8:56 am

Good morning the old thermostat housing was covered in body filler and when I removed it most of it has corroded away I have anew one to fit ,is is best to fit a new thermostat during the summer months. There isnt one in at the moment.I was wondering what difference the by pass pipe makes with no stat in .While writing I have decided to sell the car ,even after all the time and money I`ve spent.I am having to have monthly injection due to a PSA problem. These now have to be every month and I am getting a reaction from them. That with my age its getting too much effort to drive an old car and if I buy another classic ,its going to have tobe a modern lightweight one.
Can I ask the members what would be a sensible price to expect. The car is stunning and I`ve spent a few thousand on it .However I would like to know what a sensible price would be Len
