I have recently acquired a 1947 P2 14, Sport Saloon, which is dismantled, but in good, sound condition.
The previous owner started a restoration about 20 years ago, had the interior completely reupholstered and the body re sprayed, but then put the car back in a leaky old shed and then completely ignored it.
I acquired the car last year, from his estate, and had a very entertaining day recovering the car from its shed, which required the roof to be propped up with acrow props before it was safe to go in, and have now started looking through to see exactly what I have; I appear to have everything apart from one running board and the spare wheel.
One of the first things I need to sort out, is the registration: the car is on the DVLA system, but I do not have the V5, but I do have a letter from the executors of the estate, confirming my acquisition of the car.
I need to find the chassis number, and have looked on the o/s/f chassis, but can’t find it; am I looking in the wrong place? The only number I can find is the body number on a plate on the bulkhead.
Any help or relevant information would be gratefully received.
Thank you.

Thank you; I was looking in a similar place, but have not removed any paint, so the number could well be there.

Thanks for your help: after removing a brake pipe and disconnecting some wiring, I have found the number more or less where you said it would be.
