On my '48 75, one of the headlamp lenses is cracked. The lens p/n is Lucas 507586 and yes there's a couple available on Ebay.
My dilemma is that there appear to be two different lenses, both part number 507586. While the pattern is the same i.e. cat's eye, mine has Lucas written vertically with no logo and the others I've seen have the standard logo with Lucas written horizontally. Were both used on the P3?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
Billy

Re: P3 Headlamp Lens
Hi Billy
As no one has replied to your query I will try. I am no expert on lenses but the Lucas catalogue says that lens was used in at least 8 different lamps. It was called 'deep domed, diamond' and the illustration of Type P on page H52 seems to show a logo in the centre BUT it is not a very good copy.
Hope this helps a little.......

Thanks Rob,
I bit the bullet and bought one of the two on Ebay. With the exception of the centre logo, the pattern is the same so it will do for now. The Beaulieu Autojumble this year (if it goes ahead) will be very busy!
