Front bumper mounting bracket

Hi All
I've found a little flaw with my particular P3. At some time in its past life its been in a front end collision. Not a bad one, but those welded "L" shaped brackets that sit between the bumper and the chassis were crumpled in this incident, and the whole bumper sits crooked and is itself damaged. The owner at the time fixed it as best they had to, leaving these brackets still damaged. I think looking at the whole thing these intermediate brackets have acted something like the so called crumple zones on todays car, and I don't think that the chassis suffered any damage. Now (will upload picture a little later) these brackets are welded of three parts, have several holes for bolts, and while they could be made serviceable again, I am wondering whether anyone - particularly in Australia, has an old chassis with these brackets sitting intact, or some brackets themselves? I am thinking that this would see the whole thing sit back accurately...and give a better point to refit the bumper and all things associated with the front of the car. A couple of the bolt holes have been enlarged to make it all fit together again, three of the spot welded brackets on the front apron have become bent and disattached, and I fear that if the brackets aren't in best alignment this will all not sit well. The brackets are bent slightly in several directions. Hoping you can help me with some thoughts. If no ideas - or substitute brackets are around, then I do feel sure that a new set of brackets could be fabricated.
Best Regards
