I have just realized that the trim which has the Rover badge, above the dash board, is missing on my car,
would be very grateful if some one could please give me some dimensions of the same.

Not all P3s had the same dash. My car is a later one with a flat dash and the extra trim piece as in your photograph, some cars I have seen have a shaped dash which curves out towards the top, these cars did not have the extra piece of wood. I suspect that these were earlier cars but I'm not sure and have not got access to the parts list at the moment. If you have the shaped dash then all you need is the badge to cover the hole.

Thanks for the information upon looking at many pictures I am now relieved that I don't have to look for another item.

I think cir.1948 cars have a flat single piece of wood and 49 cars have the extra strip. The badge I believe was to originally cover the hole for the windscreen opening handle that the P2 has that was not carried over to the P3.

According to the parts book the story is :-

Single piece facia fitted to all ‘60’ cars and ‘75’ cars 8410001 to 8412921, 8430001 to 8431602 and 8431607

Two piece facia fitted to all other ‘75’ cars 8412922 onwards (6-light), 8431603 onwards (4-light) except 8431607.

Hi All

The badge covers the hole to the screw which hold in the windscreen on the bottom.
I helped remove and reinstall one of these on the weekend.
