Freewheel control

Post by byb » Mon Feb 17, 2025 7:17 pm

I am about to restore and polish the wooden dash of my P3 and the only remaining item to disconnect before removal is the freewheel control. I am puzzled as to how the control knob is dismantled and the cable is passed through the dash, and haven’t found any clues from the w/m manual. Any help from a fellow owner would be greatly appreciated.

Really helpful response thank you. Photos showing the breakdown of the cable and components tells me all. Have enjoyed reading/viewing your major restoration. Many thanks.
