P3 sill plates

Hello All,
Last fall I acquired a 1948 4 light 75 as a parts car only to find it to be too good to part out. In looking through the car I noticed that it had SS sill/step plates on the door frame steps. Was this somthing that was only on the 4 lights and or just 1948 model years or was this standard for all P3s. I don't have my RSR manual handy to look at the parts diagram so I thought I would ask the forum. By the way when I put the 4 light next to my 6 light it is striking the differences the roof line makes and how sporty the 4 light looks.
