Looks like you had a good holiday Richard, almost tropical with the trees in the pictures

Hi John, It certainly wasn't tropical but being that far south it's definately more mild, those palms are quite popular in peoples gardens and in the middle of round a bouts, I think elsewhere in the country they wouldn't survive.

It's the Gulf Stream that passes that area that does it.

It was a glorious day Saturday so I decided to go for a drive, nowhere in particular but I ended up going down the Wye Valley.

First 2 are from Birdlip, overlooking the Severn and Gloucester.

The Next one was taken at the top of 'Plump Hill' just outside Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean

This one was taken on a small road climbing out from the Wye Valley, I took a photo of the view and turned around and took one of the car.

The shots i took looking the other way.

The following few were taken from 'Mallards Pike' which is a lake on property owned by the forestry commision, and at this time of year is pleasantly quiet.

The final one was taken at a place called Blackpool Bridge, just past the green Nissan is a bridge and underneath that is a Roman bridge still in tact, I didn't take any photo's which seems rather silly now.
