The last tax disc for that registration number ran out in April 1990 so, if it still exists, it has been off the road for over 22 years.

Go to https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPo ... ution=e1s1 and follow the links. Put in the registration number and make where requested. There are a few errors in the database and it will only give a limited amount of information but it's better than nothing.

It is registered with DVLA, just not licenced. Tax was due 1st April 1990 and it is not on a SORN so it is most likely that it has been scrapped although I'm not sure if it actually tells you when a vehicle has been scrapped.
