The problem is if you had bid more the other person could well have also bid more. I presume it went for just over the £13k then, so looks like a good profit going to the now vendor.
Difficult to say whether it was worth more without seeing it in the flesh, certainly looks nice in the advert although I'm not keen on the headcloth.

Yes well I would say that looking back at the price it sold for at auction previously a few short years ago, its looks like it was a bargain purchase at the time as prices for even the smaller Rover 10 & 12 are making in the region of £10,000 - £15,000 currently so the owners asking price for this Rover Speed 20 probably seems justified taking into account its rarity and overall condition. If I win the lotto i'll buy it in a heartbeat until then i'll just dream .... ;)

Hi , looks like this rare Rover Speed 20 Sports has been sold to a collector in Australia in the last few weeks according to the seller. I guess distance is no object when it comes to rare cars like this Rover. It looked fabulous.

Yes, this has been sold to a collector in Australia. I was with Dennis Gallacher this week ( runs the Yahoo Groups Rover Australia Forum ) and I may get the job of bringing the car to our workshop before shipping.
