Old Rover Badge Identity?

On a recent holiday in Australia I visited Rod Blair, who up until recently had a fine collection of Rover cars.
He showed me an old Rover badge, and asked if I knew what vehicle this could have been originally fitted to. I seemed to remember seeing a similar badge on a veteran Rover, but as I have no in-depth knowledge of these older cars, I wondered if anyone might know what vehicle this badge might have come from?
I've attached a photo, and the dimensions are as follows:
6.5" long
1.5" high
1/8" thick
