Hi there
I am looking to replace my radiator cap on my 39 p2 with a flat top one so I can mount a mascot on it does anyone know what is available out there as a spare or have the the information what to look for ?

Hi Mike, I have converted a number of the standard fin type for the addition of a Viking mascot. Its quite easy, just grind off the fin to continue the curvature after removing the radiator clamping assembly, fit the mascot with countersunk brass or stainless screws, the mascot will need to be drilled and tapped to accept these, then rechrome the cap ( and the mascot if preferred ) and reassemble. I always attach a stainless steel wire for security to help deter the thieves.
