Last year I purchased the black 1948 Rover P3 75 sports saloon, advertised in the RSR magazine, and have been slowly dismantling it since - lots of rust, seized engine, etc. !!
Have managed to strip down a lot of the engine, but have come to a halt in removing the exhaust rocker shafts. Purchased a long threaded rod of supposedly the correct size and type last year, but when I came to use it, nothing like the size required.
Would anyone who has one be prepared to lend me a suitable threaded rod or tool, known to fit, whilst I remove the rocker shafts, and then once the engine black has been overhauled (serious de-grease, rebore, etc.) and then to fit them again ?
