Hello, I own since 1964 a rover 14 tourer bought in wollaston.
Originally, in only that year, the dynamo was driven by the tinming chain.
I my car it is belt driven.
Is there a modkit for this?

Re: rover14 tourer 1934
Hello Arnold
Is the UK registration TJ 6517 ?? If so I think we may have spoken about 10 years ago as I have a note on the RSR archive database that you purchased this car when working in Bridgenorth in 1964 and eventually took it back to Holland. If this is your car what is its current condition?? I have it as Red (was Green) with Green interior in need of restoration. We do have another 1934 14 tourer in the RSR that has been fully restored in recent years, they are fine looking cars.
Meantime I don't think timing chains were only fitted for 1934?? as I have owned two 1935 cars with the dynamo being driven by an encased timing chain rather than the usual exposed rubber fan belt, and I am sure Mike Couldry or Mike Evans can sort you out a replacement or have your existing reconditioned !! as I am not aware of any modification which would not be simple anyway, unless of course you fitted a later engine and belt driven dynamo.
I think you would find a word with either of the Mike's I mentioned above would be a good starting point.

Hello again Arnold
Having reread your message I see your car has the belt rather than the chain drive, so has a previous owner already changed engine for a later one??
Regards
Andrew
