Hello everybody,
I have a rather tired 1939 P2 which I bought rather "quickly".
I will probably be in need of lots of advice and help to get it running, the engine seems to be solid, too.....

Welcome to the forum, looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you

Welcome to the Forum. The greater the wreck , the greater the achievement when its finished. Don't be put off, careful planning, photographs of every single part and catalogue the parts, set yourself little projects, label then put aside. It takes time, money and effort but its worth it in the end.
Believe it or not I have one worse than yours to rebuild !
Best of Luck,
Chris

Chris, Jeff, 47P2,
thanks for the encouragement! And the advice about taking down notes and photos on everything one takes apart.......I can imagine it is the sort of thing one is disconcerted to realise would have been useful, around a quarter of the way thru the dismantling.
Mine is only a 14hp not a 20hp like Jeff's, I have only ever seen three 20hp advertised and dared not go for the first one around £6000 ten years back. All the later ones were simply far too dear for me!
