Greetings to all on this nice new forum.
I am a retired old buffer whose Rover eligibility comes from possession of a 1960 black P4 80 acquired about fifteen months ago to replace my 1937 P1 10 h.p. the twenty three year difference in age makes for astonishing progress by Rover. I now travel in comfort, warmth and style! I don't find the 80 in the least the poor mans' P4. The ohv engine is smooth and comparatively economical
I also run a 1993 Saab 9000 auto saloon, A 1992 Saab 900 "Classic" drop head coupe, a 1972 DAF 44 estate and a number of old mopeds. All have their uses and charms but I supect that the old Saab battleship will have to go soon in order to make way for something with much more economy and much less carbon emission - a second hand Peugeot 106 perhaps. Meanwhile the P50 Honda moped gets a lot of local use nipping down to the supermarket &c.
I look forward to reading the wisdom of others and possibly making the occasional contribution myself if the spirit moves.
