Greetings from Norfolk

Just come back from a classic car auction with the biggest grin on my face.



Would love to find out more about it or others like it.

Reg no is VV2168, it's a 1932 Rover 10 special (very in my novice opinion!)

DVLA have no record of it despite me having the V5?

Any info would be gratefully received.

Welcome to the forum, what a lovely looking car you have.

Not sure why the DVLA doesn't recognise the number as it does show up on the RAC database and the Motorcheck database as a 1932 Rover 10 Special

Thanks for that - I'll persevere with the DVLA. I've now got insurance and 12 month MOT so hopefully I'll get the car back on the road as soon as possible. Picked her up today by trailer and it's good to get her home.

Very much looking forward to a summer of fun (once I've sorted the water leak from one of the hoses.
This has also had an electronic fuel pump fitted (during the previous owners exstensive restoration) and appears to have 12 volt electrics (on the basis of a 6 cell battery). Were these cars originally 12 volts?

It also has bumper mounted indicators - again, were these original. There are no trafficators so I'm not sure...

welcome to the forum and congratulations on having a very nice car.

I have a 2 litre 1929 which was the predecessor to yours and for your information it does not have any indicators as original, there were some after market types which were mechanical arms or hands but as it left the factory it didnt have any. As for the electrics they are 12v and if its the same as mine then it is also negative earth as standard.

The fuel pump probably replaces the autovac system.
