What a fantastic event, superb weather, great site, and a splendid display of Rover cars and bicycles across the ages.
My sincere congratulations to our Committee and the P6 owners club for organising such a splendid day, well done, in particular I cannot remember the last time I saw such a large turn out of pre 1950 cars in such superb condition, probably one of the early Belvoir Rally's ?? I hope some pictures might appear in due course!!
My first P2 was a 1946 Rover 10 purchased for £50 in 1966 from a Doctor in Croydon, which I collected and drove across London, through Marble Arch and Oxford Circus to Ilford, a 50 mile trip and she purred all the way and I was hooked on the car.
Since then I have owned a variety of interesting P2's and along the way a collection of spares have built up, so I thought I would take advantage of the rally to "de-clutter" by selling some of them on to other owners seeking parts for their restorations, and I had a very interesting time meeting various members and chatting with some old friends I had not seen for years, a great day and my thanks to those who bought or just chatted.
Regards to all
