I have removed the sender unit from my p3 75 in doing so i have snapped three of the fine threaded screws that hold it in place.now i would like an easy fix on how to get these little bits out, from some body that has been in the same predicament .any advice would be greatly appreciated.regards Derrick (from down under.)

I left mine alone but I only had one break so it is held in with the remaining screws. Not a lot of help if you really want to get them out I know.

Thanks stewart for your reply. i would rather the problem had been the gauge, the float unit was frozen, so had to come out i suppose that`s the joys associated with these old toy`s of ours, it looks like the drill and easy out never had any luck with them. regards Derrick.

Hi Derrick,
I recently removed the fuel tank sender in my P3 75 4-light and found it very blocked - it took us an hour with carburettor cleaner and a wire brush to get is clean - amazing what a difference that made to the fuel flow !! So, suggest that you have a look at the filter guaze on the end of the fuel pickup and clean whilst you have it out.............

BTW, which part of Australia are you in? I'm just outside Canberra.

Hi Derrick,
I know someone in Crookwell NSW who has a couple of disassembled P3's and he might have a steering box. I give him a call & see if he might have a steering box for you - will let you know.

I'm an amateur as well BTW!!!

Cheers Neil
