I acquired my 1947 Twelve Tourer towards the end of July and absolutely love it. So much so that I was tempted into getting the 1935 Twelve 6-light (“Dora”) in September from “digcot65” who has been quite active on your forum in recent months during her restoration.
Both are now in storage for the winter but Dora needs a traffictor column switch. The current one being non standard and looks out of place. I need the second one for a Rover 10 1937 that I will be acquiring next month. I know, sucker for punishment!

Thankfully I am an ex automotive and aircraft electrical engineer and I cut my teeth on Mini Coopers and Morris 1100s as a lad with my dad. Positive earths being the in thing at that time! I served 26 years in the RAF and then was fortunate to get a design job with Ford in their electrical design centre.
I ended my 20 year automotive engineering career at Gaydon with Jaguar Landrover, so I suppose it was inevitable I would end up with one or the other!
Nothing much fazes me and I know the value of having the correct tools and equipment. I am now starting to build up an inventory (slowly) for my new Rovers and I am looking forward to the tinkering and fettling that I know will be needed in the coming months and years and look forward to gleaning from and sharing my experience in your forums.
