The generator on this car is driven by chain from crank/camshaft and I need to remove it - faulty. Problem is, although there is a blank, retained by a leaf spring,( presumably a nut on the end of the gen),on the chaincase, it appears that the timing will be upset when gen is removed. (Gen other end drives distributor)
Does anyone have first-hand experience of this operation? All help will be appreciated, any diagrams, manual pages, etc. too.
