Lucas No. 256 , 3 watt originally. There are fancier LED things available today but those No 256s are the originals.
Item no 283869923324 on eBay is an example.

I use flashing LED bulbs in the trafficators
They work well & act as side repeaters!

I think from Classic auto bulbs of Malvern. Be careful to get the right length of the original festoon. I think they know what they are doing! Ask them if in doubt.
There are lots around (VW campers seem to be a good market! but they will be Bosch, so take care. Prices are also all over the place!

I bought a set flashing leds for the trafficators from ebay.
I am very pleased with them

These are 36mm
These offered for VW cars are 32mm and have single leds.
