Failure at first attempt! No spark. Now the weather is a bit cooler I feel more inclined to try again!
Connected up as per instructions...I had to lengthen the wires from the unit on the distributor to reach the coil,,, A complication is that I have a "security" switch wired to the coil that allows the electric fuel pump to operate. This operates correctly and as it energises the coil it allows the pump to tick happily.!
I will re-check the wiring and also ensure that the Battery connections are clean...there was a post on an Austin Seven site where the installer had exactly this problem (nothing out of the king lead on the coil) & it was solved by cleaning the battery terminals! At the coil originally - as I recall - he was getting under 5.25v and after cleaning...6,25v. End of problem.

Re: 12hp Tourer #110 (the blue one)
The saga continues. The electronic kit is fitted to the distributor & now the starter is playing up! (See new post). Try it on the handle to check for a spark... Although new engine mounts were fitted last year & the Starting handle fitted...it now will not engage sufficiently into the crank dog! So something has moved!
I'm going on holiday...it will wait
