Greetings,
I am a long-standing RSR Member residing in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, having joined in the 1970's. My current Rover is a 1970 Three Thousand Five P6B, Davos White with Sandalwood Ambla "basket weave" upholstery, which has been in the family continuously since 1980. It has lived a charmed life, having only been a daily driver for the first two years of its life, although it was used as a shopping trolley by my mother for a while in the early 1980's. I am very fortunate that the car is still in excellent, original condition. The only alteration from original has been the fitting of Lumenition Electronic Ignition a couple of years ago. The electronic ignition has transformed the performance of the car and eliminated 'pinging' from the modern 98 Octane Unleaded fuel. These days, my Three Thousand Five normally gets a fortnightly mid-weekly outing with our local classic car club.
I previously owned a 1966 P6 2000SC from 1973 to 1987. I have also owned four Australian-built Mini's during the period 1969 to 1991.
Cheers, Rob

Re: New to the Forum
Welcome Rob, when I read the Southern Highlands I thought we might have another Scot on the forum.
From your list of cars, past and present it looks like you are a bit of a Rover enthusiast

Thank you John and Richard.
John, we have swapped emails and car photos. I knew your Rover 16 from its time in Australia.
Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob,
Got you now.
Yes indeed we did exchange emails. Many thanks once again for the information you supplied me with and which is all on the website now, the 1986 pictures are great.
Not only a Rover enthusiast but an ex Registrar of the New South Wales-based Rover Owners Club.
Whatever took you so long to find the forum Rob?
