Hello

Post by classiccarnut » Fri Oct 08, 2010 11:50 am

Hi all.
New to this site. My wife has a 'modern' Rover for an everyday car, and as some of you know - Rovers have a habit of multiplying. So, loving my classics as I do, we soon found ourselves with a P4. 11 months on and I am now looking at buying another one. Anyone got any advice for Rover contraception? Maybe coil-tus interuptus! :D

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum. Sorry I am not aware of a cure for the Roverholic disease...I am severely afflicted myself. So, which modern Rove have you got, and which P4 do you have? Are you looking for older or newer to add to the collection?

Hi Paul

I have a 1955 Rover P4 60 and the modern car is a 214. I am looking at adding a 1939 P2 but also have a 1972 VW camper an early Mazda MX5 and an RX8. The RX8 is being sold so there may be another addition as well P3? P6?.

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the list of vehicles, hope your hunt for a P2 and sale of the RX8 go well. I think there are relatively few 60's around, and of course yours being a '55 crossover model must make it fairly unusual. I've run an 80 in the past, and run a Cyclops these days...along with a few other Rovers. As you have already gathered Rovers seem to have a habit of multiplying!
