Quite right about the parts list, but the SU entries relate to the first few 10 and 12 saloons in the 1946 model year. We know that small scale production started at the Clay Lane works in Coventry, late in 1945, with dispatch resuming in December 1945. Interesting to speculate whether the 70 or so early cars with SUs were all built at Clay Lane or perhaps there were 70 sets of carburettors and manifolds and cylinder heads left over from 1939! All other post war 10 and 12 and all tourers were fitted with Solex carbs.

I have now made the small lever to fit the bolt above the main shaft so that it will open the throttle a bit, only need to find a suitable cable.

Usually a motorcycle lever cable will do. Ask a motorcycle shop near you if they have a suitable one or direct you to a specialist who can make one.
