This may be a bit late, but there's a 38 12SS on ebay for £3000 in Bolton, reg ETV99, It seems to have been the car of a Mr. Walsh at one time but the previous owner is now deceased. I have no connection with this car but I have been offered cars in similar condition for twice or three times this price (yes, seriously) so it could be worth considering. It does need work but had been restored about 20 years ago. It would seem a potentially nice thing to take on to restore again. Had it been a 16 I would probably have had it but I'm saving my one last space for one of them.

Update 9/5/24 : I thought this was as low as a complete car might go but no, there's a 1936 12 on Car and Classic for £1600. Yes, it needs plenty done but surely it's worth more than that in parts alone ? AUE741.
