Perhaps this has a non-original steering box on it? In any case the box itself it capable of 4 1/2 turns lock to lock. However once connected by the drag link to the rest of the gear I get 3 turns only, and am limited by contact of the tyres with the radius arms. They are not especially wide tyres. I really cannot see any means of limiting the track rod movement to prevent the tyre contact.
Am I missing something? Do I have the wrong steering box?
Incidentally, I found that after I had install grease nipples on the outer track rod ball joints, they fouled the radius arm, so I had to remove them and plug them with 6mm grub screws.
