Tyres

Post by AdrianGoodyear » Fri Feb 21, 2025 3:18 pm

I have the following tyres that are now surplus to my needs.
Qty 1 Wayfarer 5.00/17 quite old and with surface cracks. Good tread. May do as a stop-gap but not really for road use.
Qty 1 India 5.5./17 as above.
Qty2 Dunlop Silver Seal 4.75/5.00 -17 Bought some time ago hardly used. Suitable for road use.

These tyres are free to anyone that needs them but you will have to collect them (from Hereford) or pay for shipping.
I would be happy to swap them for a few LuvaxBijur plumbing bits. (Actually, I'd be willing to sell my soul for these bits!) These are needed to complete my almost complete system.

If you want the tyres or you have some LuvaxBijur bits or both reply to this post with contact info. or call me (Adrian Goodyear) on 07891 602361

Dear Adrian,
I have some spare Luvax bits, but not original metering valves. If you know what you need, maybe you would let me know and I'll see if I have any, particularly junctions.

Hi Thanks (again!) for responding to my post. I attached a few photographs of what I need.

Photo 1 is the pipework removed from the car. Item A is the meter valve - it has SE1 stamped on one of the flats of the hexagonal part of the casting. Item B is a nut with an internal thread and item C is a nut with an external thread. I need one of each of items A, B and C. Also, if you have these available, I would like a further two of items Band C to replace some rather shaggy items!
I have attached photos of this pipe in place but on the OSF brake back plate and stub axle. The other photo is of the NSF brake backplate and stub axle showing the pipe missing.
I'm hoping that my photos and description make it clear what it is that I need. But, please let me know if you need any further information.

Those Dunlops sound like a great deal for someone needing roadworthy tyres. Shame I'm not closer to Hereford, or I'd have grabbed them myself.
